Thanks to a generous grant from Atlantic Health Systems and the Community Health Department of Overlook Hospital, and with additional support by many local shuls and Hatzalah VAC of Union County, the JEC community is proud to offer a free Heart Health Lecture and screening for women on Sunday, April 29th in the JEC Goldfischer Gym (flyer is online).  The lecture is scheduled to take place between 10AM-11AM; thereafter, screenings (which will check blood pressure, glucose level, & bone density and include counseling as necessary) will take place for approximately two hours.  If you wish to participate in the screenings (and please keep in mind that capacity is limited!), you must make an appointment -- to do so or if you have any questions, please contact Pearl Ricklis at 908-352-8507.  Thank you!

Baruch HaSheim, our shul membership has steadily been growing, and we would like to provide you with an opportunity to "get to know" another Shul member or family!  We will i'y'H' host this Home Hospitality Day on Shabbos P' Emor, May 5th, but it can't happen without your participation.  The online flyer provides full details -- briefly, take a look at the Shul membership list (if you need the password, please reply with a tel# where we can reach you) and either consider inviting a family which you haven't previously hosted or requesting to be invited by a family with whom you haven't previously eaten, then list your choices on a printout of the flyer and either bring it to the JEC Business Office or call any of the following four Shul members by, if possible, this coming Monday, April 23rd: Rabbi Chaim Hagler at 908-558-1565, Miryam Heller at 908-355-3834, Rachie Niren at 908-469-3589, or Richard Rosenzweig at 908-353-8333.  Thank you!

(Many thanks to the listmember who handled administrative responsibilities for this list the past several days, while its current administrator was out of town.)

I'y'H', our Shabbos M'var'chim Chodesh Sivan Kiddush will actually be held on the day after Rosh Chodesh, May 19th, because our community will be hosting a NCSY/Yachad Shabbaton on May 12th, Shabbos M'var'chim Chodesh Sivan.  As always, if you would like to sponsor/upgrade this or any future Kiddush (sponsorship details can be found in a recent issue of HaMagid, our newsletter) in honor of someone, to commemorate someone, or for any other excellent reason, please contact Sarah Karp at 908-352-2679.  Thank you!
