Once again this year, we will have the honor of hosting, on behalf of the community, a live broadcast of shiurim by two wonderful magidei shiur/lecturers, Rabbi Yissocher Frand and Rabbi Yisroel Reisman.  Please reserve your motzoei-Shabbos and Thursday nights -- you won't be disappointed!  These shiurim begin immediately after Yuntef with Rabbi Reisman's thought-provoking Navi class on Oct. 6th at 9PM in the JEC Reibel Beis Medrash.  A full schedule for the year is posted and attached, and times will be announced in the JEC weekly schedule.  Thank you!

There will be Youth groups for children through 2nd Grade on Shmini Atzeres (Thursday); on Simchas Torah, no Youth groups as kids & parents celebrate the day together in and around the Shul; and groups will resume a normal schedule on Shabbos P'Breishis.  Please note that a Luncheon is planned on Simchas Torah for HSers (for details, to RSVP, sponsorship opportunities, etc., please contact Elie Bodner at 917-583-5963) and that MSers are cordially invited to a Get Together that afternoon at 4PM (girls in the JEC Board Room, boys in the JEC Halpern Cafeteria [the "lunchroom"]).  Thank you, and enjoy the remainder of this special week!

Youth Director Elie Bodner and his wife Rachel cordially invite HS boys this coming Friday night to their home, 350 Elmora Avenue #2D, for an Oneg (including chulent and other refreshments!), beginning at 9:15PM.  Next Friday night, Oct. 19th, i'y'H', HS girls are invited to enjoy the Bodners' hospitality -- same place, at least as much ruach, beginning at 9PM.

As can be seen from the list of recent events (including one going on tonight), Elie and Rachel are constantly thinking of new ways to involve all of our youth, from little kids through collegiates. Shabbos Groups are designed for youngsters through 6th Grade, so they've come up with what we hope will be a weekly "Tefilah and Kiddush" program for girls in Grades 7 and 8.  The kickoff will i'y'H' occur next Shabbos, Oct. 20th, beginning after the Teen Minyan in the JEC Board Room, so please let your young ladies know!

Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful Shabbos and Chodesh!

A few Jewish families have recently moved into the Wymor House (listed on our rental-resources page), a popular building (which already houses many members of our community) where available apartments usually are quickly rented again, and we want the influx trend to continue!  This building currently has a one-bedroom apartment available for immediate occupancy, so if you know of a person or family looking to rent now, please contact Rabbi Herman ASAP at 908-355-4850 x104 or 908-220-7317.  Thank you for reading and for your efforts on behalf of our community!

Members of our shul's Teen Minyan will i'y'H' lead our Shacharis and Mussaf Main-Shul minyanim this coming Shabbos P'Lech L'cha.  Everyone is welcome to join us and gain nachas from their efforts! and we trust that you will support and respond in a positive manner to those efforts (which will include acting as gabboim, shlichei tzibbur, and ba'alei k'riyah) on behalf of the congregation.  Thank you, have a wonderful Shabbos, and (in the theme of recognizing and constructively learning from any mistakes that we may make) please enjoy this d'var Torah!
