The funeral and l'vaya for Rabbi Isaiah Wohlgemuth a'h', father of y'lch't' Rabbi Shlomoh Wohlgemuth, will take place today, Monday, Jan. 7th, at the JEC Reibel Beis Medrash, beginning at 1:30PM, with subsequent k'vurah in eretz Yisrael. Further details will be sent when they become available.

Rabbi Wohlgemuth will i'y'H' return from Israel on Wednesday and sit shiv'a until Monday morning at his residence, 950 Magie Avenue in Elizabeth, NJ (tel#: 908-352-8870; ZIP: 07208-1055). We just found out that Mrs. Brown a'h', mother of y'lch't' David Brown, passed away this past Shabbos. David and his sisters, Susy Rothschild and Judy Brown, have been sitting shiv'a this week and will continue to sit until tomorrow (Friday) morning at Susy's residence in El Paso, TX (tel#: 915-833-0598). David can be reached on his cell phone, 908-591-7161, and will i'y'H' be back in our community late Monday night.

Pursuant to Sections 2.5 and 3.5 of our Shul By-Laws, here is a list of meeting dates for the Shul's Board as well as for the Shul membership. All General Membership meetings are scheduled to begin at 8:30PM and to take place in the Main Shul; all other meetings are scheduled to begin at 8PM and to take place in the Board Room; and both venues are located at 330 Elmora Avenue. Last but not least, all meetings (like any other Elmora Shul activities) have been calendared. Thank you.

This coming motzoei Shabbos, Jan. 12th, beginning at 8PM (registration beginning at 7:15PM), our local Federation, in cooperation with the JEC and other schools, shuls, and organizations in the area, is once again hosting an Evening of Jewish Learning at the Wilf Jewish Community Campus, 1391 Martine Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ; cost: $15. As was done last year, our community's Rabbinate will once again be giving shiurim related to Taharas haMishpachah -- the focus this time is the woman's menstrual cycle(s)/onset of menstruation, vestos. Both shiurim are open to all married (and about-to-be-married) men and are scheduled to begin in the JEC Reibel Beis Medrash at 8PM (with Ma'ariv following the shiur). Rabbi Jonathan Schwartz will i'y'H' give the first shiur, a review of a husband's responsibilities re vestos, this coming Tuesday, Jan. 29th; Rabbi Avrohom Herman will i'y'H' examine the topic of onah beinonis (and the difference between "day 30" and "day 31") in depth on the following Tuesday night, Feb. 5th.
