A big yasher koach to everyone who has signed up to learn towards our shul's siyum on Shavuos.  We still, however, have 17 sections that are not yet claimed.  This is a wonderful opportunity to incorporate Torah into your daily life as you prepare for the yom tov of Shavuos andkabbalat HaTorah.  Even if you won't be at the siyum in shul, you are welcome to join our effort. As we noted earlier today, only a small number of learning-portion slots are still available for our Shul's Siyum on TaNaCH and Seder Moed, scheduled to take place (with a concurrent program by the Youth Department for children) on the second day of Chag haShavuos, Thursday evening, May 20th.  Afterwards, everyone who has made reservations will be able to participate in our annual Ne'ilas haChag meal/Siyum S'udas Mitzva, scheduled to take place in the JEC Levy Auditorium.  If you have not yet made reservations, please print&fill out the online form as soon as possible and bring that form and payment either to the JEC Business Office or to RoAnna Pascher, 809 Bailey Avenue, within the next week.  Sponsorships are also available (and Gold sponsorship includes meal reservations for a family of five!) -- if you are interested in sponsoring, please contact Richard Rosenzweig at 908-353-8333.  Thank you, and we look forward to sharing the Yuntef with you and to seeing you there!

1.     There will be an erev Shavuos program for primer through 4th grade, Tuesday May 18th, from 1:30-3:00 in the JEC cafeteria. There will be fun games inside and flower planting outside in honor of Shavuos. Ice cream will be served.

2.     Please find online the schedule of shiurim during Shavuos night.  We hope you will avail yourselves to these learning opportunities.

3.     Primer through 5th grade are encouraged to get together at the Shabbos Park on the first day of Shavuos from 4:30-5:45. There will be a fun story being told inside and ices will be served to cool off.

4.     The shul's siyum and neilat hachag will take place on the second day of Shavuos following 6:30 mincha in the main shul.

We regretfully inform you of the passing this week of Rabbi Moshe Berger.  The l'vaya/funeral took place in Cleveland.  At this time, we have no shiv'a-related (or contact) information, other than that the niftar has two sons.

As it has done for prior Federal holidays, Yeshivas Be'er Yitzchok is hosting (in its Beis Medrash, 1391 North Avenue) a learning program this coming Monday, May 31st (Memorial Day), beginning with Shacharis at 8AM, followed by breakfast, and, starting at 9:30AM, pre-shiur preparation/chavrusa, followed by the shiur itself.  The magid shiur will i'y'H' be Rabbi Shmuel Greenberg, a renowned lecturer (available online: audio and video) and Rabbi of theYoung Israel of White Plains, NY.  Enjoy the program, and thank you for reading!
